Privacy Policy

This policy is from Veha AI Inc. (“Veha”, “we”), a Delaware, USA company. It has two parts: the veha.ai website and the Veha mobile app. Contact: support@veha.ai.

Part 1. The veha.ai website

What the website collects. Nothing from you directly. veha.ai has no sign-up form, no accounts, no advertising cookies and no analytics trackers. Our hosting provider, Netlify, may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to run the service. The pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser requests font files from Google’s servers, which means Google receives your IP address and browser details.

If you contact us. If you message us by Telegram, WhatsApp or email, we receive what you send, including your name or username and phone number or email address as shown by that service. We use it to reply to you, to arrange beta access, and to keep in touch about Veha if you ask us to. Those services have their own privacy policies.

Part 2. The Veha mobile app (beta)

The Veha app is in beta and has not been publicly released. This part describes the data the app’s features involve and the service providers we use. Details we have not yet confirmed are not stated here; we will complete this policy before public release.

Service providers

• Google Firebase / Google Cloud (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, App Check, Crashlytics): sign-in, storing app data and files, running server functions, security checks and crash reports.
• Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple: signing in.
• Mapbox: the in-app map and place search. Mapbox may receive search queries and precise coordinates (for example, to search nearby).
• OpenAI: the AI assistant, including speech recognition and translation of voice input.

Some data is also stored locally on your phone.

Data by feature

• Account and sign-in. You can sign in with Google or Apple, or use a guest mode. We handle your account identifier and email address, and, if you use Apple sign-in, your name. Purpose: to create and secure your account. Provider: Firebase.
• Location. Precise location is used to show your position, navigate, search nearby and record routes, including while the screen is locked during a recording. Providers: Mapbox (see above). Assistant context may also include your location.
• Routes and statistics. Routes you record and their statistics are stored in Firebase and on your phone. Purpose: to save and show your hikes.
• Photos and content. Photos of routes are uploaded to Firebase Storage. The app allows publishing content; who can see a given item depends on what you choose to publish.
• AI assistant. Your messages, and voice input when you use it, are sent to OpenAI to produce replies, recognition and translation. Chat history and preferences are stored on your phone. Voice input can also go through your phone’s system speech recognition.
• Diagnostics. Crash reports are collected through Firebase Crashlytics.

Permissions and AI consent

Location and microphone access are controlled by your phone’s settings. Turning a permission off stops the app from getting new data of that kind; it does not delete data already saved. You can also stop using the assistant at any time. Withdrawing consent does not undo requests already sent to a provider.

Retention and deletion

We have not yet confirmed retention periods for each category, so we do not state them. To ask us to delete your account and related data, use Delete account (no app or sign-in needed). Logging out does not necessarily remove all data stored on your phone; you can remove it by uninstalling the app. We do not promise that every copy is removed at once.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete what you have sent us, or to stop contacting you, at any time at support@veha.ai. Depending on where you live you may have additional legal rights, and we will honor them where they apply.

Age

Veha accounts are for people who are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where they live if that is higher. If you believe someone under that age has given us personal data, tell us at support@veha.ai and we will look into it and delete it where appropriate.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above.
